Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an USA-CNC Machine Operator to support the production of components, ensure quality, and work as part of a safety-conscious team.

The role requires reading specifications and blueprints, using gauges, and performing routine maintenance while maintaining clean, organized workstations and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting drawings, blueprints and specs.
• Proficient with gauges and measuring within tolerances.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain raw materials from the Material Handler and place them at your machining station.
• Run the first piece and verify that it meets all specifications. Receive confirmation from the Department Supervisor or Quality Associate before running the batch.
• Operate the machine to run the batch of components, continually verifying that produced parts meet all quality standards and specifications.
• Use gauges to ensure produced components meet all specifications and requirements.
• Make mechanical adjustments as necessary to keep parts within specifications.
• Complete SPC charts and attribute charts (list of gauging and dimensions to be checked).
• Pack finished products as instructed.
• Complete all needed documentation and tagging for each tub of materials.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines (adding oils and fluids as needed, cleaning, and changing bits).
• Maintain a safety-first mindset by following safety rules and operating in a safe manner.
• Keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Technical Skills

• Ability to interpret specifications and drawings, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of the Metric System (microns, millimeters, etc.).
• Able to use gauges to measure parts and ensure they stay within acceptable tolerances.
• Basic math skills (addition and subtraction of decimal numbers).
• Able to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner and know when to ask for help.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Education / Work Experience

• Experience as a Machinist (Preferred).
• CNC Machining Experience (Preferred).

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail through repetitive machine operations and measurements to ensure high quality through the production process.
• Comfortable working in a cooperative, team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Desire to take ownership of your role including performance and attendance accountability.
• Willingness to work on traditional and non-traditional shifts.
