Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an experienced USA-CNC Machine Operator to join our production team. You will machine components, verify first pieces, and oversee ongoing quality checks with gauges to ensure tolerance and specifications are met across batches.

You will document measurements and assist with preventative maintenance. Ideal candidates have machinist and CNC experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a cooperative, fast-paced environment with some shift

Responsibilities

• Obtain raw materials and place at the machining station.

• Make adjustments to keep parts within spec.
• Complete SPC charts and attribute checks.
• Pack finished products and document materials.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Obtain raw materials from the Material Handler and place them at your machining station.
• Run the first piece and verify that it meets all of the specifications. Receive confirmation from the Department Supervisor or Quality Associate before running the batch.
• Operate machine to run the batch of components, continually verifying that the produced parts meet all quality standards and specifications.
• Use gauges to ensure produced components meet all specifications and requirements.
• Make mechanical adjustments as necessary to keep parts within specifications.
• Complete SPC charts and attribute chart (list of gauging and dimensions to be checked).
• Pack finished products as instructed.
• Complete all needed documentation and tagging for each tub of materials.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on your machines (adding oils and fluids as needed, cleaning, and changing bits).
• Keep a safety first mindset by following all safety rules and operating in a safe manner.
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Technical Skills

• Ability to interpret specifications and drawings, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of the Metric System (Microns, Millimeters, etc).
• Able to use gauges to measure parts and ensure they stay within the acceptable tolerances.
• Basic math skills (addition and subtraction of decimal numbers).
• Able to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner and know when to ask for help.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Required Skills And Education

Education / Work Experience

• Experience as a Machinist (Preferred).
• CNC Machining Experience (Preferred).

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail through repetitive machine operations and measurements to ensure high quality through the production process.
• Comfortable working in a cooperative, team oriented, fast paced environment.
• Desire to take ownership of your role including performance and attendance accountability.
• Willingness to work on traditional and non-traditional shifts.
