Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member – Collaborates with cross‑functional teams, helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicates interpersonal skills for providing customer service, stays flexible to the business needs, maintains in‑stock levels, and controls shrinkage.
• Be an Expert – Plans bakery production ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, follows recipe measurements, works with a variety of products (e.g., decorating bags, tips, and nozzles), creates decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items, adheres to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance, and inventory management, operates, sanitizes equipment, and demonstrates product layout execution.
• Be a Techie – Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement using handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind, adapts to new tools, and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner – Drives bakery area performance, ensures quality and date‑control standards, eliminates waste, prepares for seasonal events affecting volume (holidays, graduations, family events), identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions, and resolves member issues and concerns.
• Be a Talent Ambassador – Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in the bakery, models high‑quality service and products, interacts with associates to understand roadblocks, and assists in training, influencing, and inspiring them for a style that is respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
