Position Summary...

As a Cake Decorator, you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do...

1. Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross-functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service. Being flexible to the needs of the business, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage.
2. Be an Expert: Plans bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs following recipes and measurement instructions. Works with a variety of products, creating decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items, adhering to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment, demonstrating understanding of product and layout execution.
3. Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology for making immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise, ordering, training, and product quality, encouraging others to adopt these tools.
4. Be an Owner: Drives the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, and eliminating waste. Prepares for seasonal events impacting bakery volume, such as holidays and graduations. Identifies member needs, assists with purchasing decisions, and resolves member issues and concerns.
5. Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service and products, and interacting with associates to understand roadblocks. Assists in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring team members in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented manner.
6. Compliance and Work Management: Adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implements related action plans, uses the Open Door Policy, and applies these principles in executing business processes. Completes work assignments by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with managers and colleagues, and adapting to change based on feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00, with actual pay meeting or exceeding the minimum wage applicable to the location. Additional premiums may apply under specific circumstances.
