Walmart in Bentonville, AR seeks an Associate Merchant to support category management through supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize product setup and promotions across stores and online.

You’ll analyze sales data to aid budgeting and assortment planning, build supplier relationships, and help drive category performance while ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years' merchandising/related experience.

Role summary:
The (USA) Associate Merchant supports category management through supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and issue resolution. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate product setup, effective promotional execution, and optimized customer experiences across channels. Utilizing data analysis and business insights, the Associate Merchant contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and assortment planning to meet financial targets. The position requires strong vendor relationship management and strategic thinking to drive category performance while maintaining compliance with company policies and fostering collaborative partnerships that align with organizational goals.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations within a retail or merchandising environment.


• Strong skills in category strategy development and execution to support business growth and customer satisfaction.


• Proficiency in data analysis and business analysis to derive insights and support decision-making processes.


• Ability to manage purchase orders, resolve supplier issues, and support item setup for stores and online channels.


• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to implement merchandising plans and promotional activities.


• Aptitude for leveraging digital tools to enhance category performance and reporting accuracy.

  The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
