Position Summary...
What you'll do:
- Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, cleanliness of the area, assessing economic trends and community needs, overseeing stocking and rotation of merchandise, setting up clean and organized displays, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
- Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives.
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs. Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies, and lead process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and recognizing contributions. Ensure staffing needs are met by recruiting and developing qualified associates to support company growth.
- Control merchandise loss and improve profitability by setting performance goals, measuring adherence to policies, reviewing inventory variances, conducting operational and pre-inventory reviews, analyzing data, and identifying improvement opportunities. Communicate and collaborate with managers and associates to implement corrections and influence control measures.
- Investigate and resolve violations of company policies and criminal activities, including fraud and illegal activities. Gather evidence, take statements, write reports, and provide court testimony as needed. Partner with investigative entities.
- Monitor safety and risk within the facility, supervise safety teams, identify accident trends, and develop solutions to prevent accidents. Train associates on safety and accident prevention, oversee safety reviews, and implement safety improvement plans.
- Manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures. Review policies for compliance, identify training needs, and develop and deliver training programs.
- Oversee claims and receiving operations, ensuring proper procedures are followed, and claims are processed timely. Maintain documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate and oversee activities related to customer service and operational goals by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans, and measuring progress. Promote continuous learning and adaptability.
- Ensure compliance with policies and support company values of integrity, ethics, and community engagement. Foster a culture of belonging and inclusivity.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of 2 years of college or equivalent experience in supervision, inventory control, claims, asset protection, or related fields.
- Successful completion of state requirements for asset protection, background checks, and applicable training/licenses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Criminal Justice, or related fields. Certification in asset protection. Experience supervising multiple direct reports, investigative experience, or relevant coursework.
