Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking a Carpenter for the SC Charleston Main Road Segment A project in Charleston, SC. The carpenter will construct, erect, and install wood structures for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.

Qualifications

3-5 years verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
Must be able to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds/ladders.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
Must comply with safety policies and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drains, walls, and additional structures.
May assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed).
Uses carpenter’s belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery.
