Job description

Introduction

CHAGEE (pronounced CHAH-jee) is a modern teahouse with more than 7,500 locations globally. We are a global brand rooted in Yunnan, committed to bringing people together through tea. CHAGEE is awakening a modern tea movement, grounded in authentic heritage, fueled by cutting‑edge innovation, and crafted to nourish body and spirit.

Position Overview

Elevate your career with CHAGEE as a Training Specialist. As a Training Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all new hires and existing employees receive effective, consistent, and compliant training to meet operational standards and business needs. This role is focused on improving store operations by identifying skill gaps, developing tailored learning programs, and continuously enhancing the training experience. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support employee development, enhance productivity, and maintain high standards of customer service across all CHAGEE locations.

What you’ll do
  • Onboarding & New Hire Training: Manage the new hire onboarding process, including scheduling, delivering, and tracking completion of training. Ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience that sets employees up for success. Provide orientation on CHAGEE’s brand values, culture, operational standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Training Program Development: Design and create training materials, including presentations, job aids, and e‑learning modules, aligned with operational requirements such as food safety, workplace safety, and health standards. Develop continuous learning content for both store employees and management to enhance knowledge, performance, and compliance. Collaborate with operations partners to identify training gaps and develop targeted learning programs tailored to specific needs and roles in store operations. Ensure all mandatory compliance training is delivered and documented according to regulations.
  • Facilitation & Delivery: Facilitate training sessions for new and existing employees on various topics, including operational processes, quality standards, product knowledge, and company procedures. Conduct training on limited‑time offers, promotions, and new product launches to ensure team preparedness and consistency. Support and develop the skills of in‑store training support teams, providing feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Training Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Track training completion rates and assess learner performance through post‑training evaluations. Utilize learning management systems to gather data on training effectiveness and generate reports for stakeholders. Actively seek feedback from trainees and managers to optimise training programmes, streamline processes, and improve the overall learning experience. Continuously update training materials to reflect changes in regulations, operational standards, and product offerings.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, HR, and store leadership to align training programs with business goals and operational needs. Coordinate with the Consumer Insights team to integrate customer feedback into training programmes and service recovery initiatives. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment. Be prepared for duties and responsibilities to evolve and show a willingness to step outside of your usual scope to support the company’s growth. Expect opportunities for personal and professional growth as you navigate new challenges.
Experience you need to be successful

  • Proven track record of supporting the design, delivery, and management of training programs in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience in coaching and developing in‑store trainers or teams.
  • Strong instructional design and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and data analysis tools to track training progress and effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Knowledge of compliance and health regulations relevant to the food and beverage industry.
  • Adaptability in customizing training materials to meet the needs of diverse locations and evolving operational requirements.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
