You will be the ultimate decision maker for all US tax matters, shape how the function operates, and partner with the Global Head of Tax in Toronto.

Qualifications

• J.D. and/or CPA with demonstrated financial institution tax expertise.
• Strong command of US federal, state, and local tax.
• Experience leading tax teams and advising on M&A and financings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor US tax team and implement best practices.
• Partner with RBC's US businesses to provide tax support and risk management.
• Develop US tax planning initiatives aligned with RBC's global strategies.
• Counsel on M&A activity, corporate reorganizations, and financings related to US operations.
• Represent RBC in tax policy discussions and industry organizations.
