Freshfields US LLP seeks a seasoned Head of US Tax to oversee federal, state, and local tax. You will lead tax strategy, manage compliance, and coordinate with Global Tax on cross-border issues.

This role partners with US leadership to influence strategic decisions and manage risk. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in tax accounting, strong communication, and the ability to mentor staff while partnering across functions and geographies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of partnership and individual income tax.
• Experience providing strategic and proactive tax advice with risk awareness.
• Ten or more years of experience in tax accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities; work independently.
• Organized and flexible; able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Prioritize daily workload while managing multiple deliverables.
• Experience working with senior management.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across functions and geographies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement US tax strategies with Global Head of Group Tax.
• Oversee US tax compliance with US Tax Manager and local advisors.
• Lead discussions on global tax planning and US implications of decisions.
• Act as primary contact for US partners and senior staff on US taxes.
• Ensure transfer pricing compliance and coordination with global teams.
• Supervise junior tax professionals and respond to inquiries.
