An advanced manufacturing firm is seeking a General Manager for its U.S. expansion in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will oversee local site setup and day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards while managing staffing and logistics. Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing or facilities operations, preferably in composites or aerospace.
• Experience setting up or running mid-size technical workshops or sites.
• Knowledge of working on Grant & Customer funded projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site setup, equipment commissioning, and contractor scheduling.
• Manage day-to-day operations across fabrication, stores, and general services.
• Oversee shift scheduling, entry-level hiring, and basic training needs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and site procedures.
• Serve as point of contact for local suppliers, vendors, and facility support.
• Liaise regularly with UK Directors to maintain reporting and alignment.
• Hold P&L responsibility.
