Job summary

GSK US is seeking a Procurement Manager for ViiV to lead sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations in a fast-paced HIV-focused business in the United States. You will collaborate with ViiV stakeholders and global category teams to drive cost savings and value delivery while managing supplier performance across categories.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement experience including the ability to support multiple spend categories ideally within a commercial business environment
• Business stakeholder management and influencing, this includes the ability to build strong relationships and to influence without express authority
• Experience managing suppliers (including performance management)
• Able to drive and deliver business impacting cost savings
• Ability to articulate the value that procurement can bring to an organization
• Ability and track record to manage contract negotiations
• Commercial and financial acumen
• Experience leading supplier tender/RFP processes

Responsibilities

• Strategy execution: work with the ViiV commercial business to facilitate execution of their strategies through procurement expertise
• Align with global category teams to provide ViiV business requirements through preferred suppliers
• Execute global sourcing strategies and act as the local expert within scope of responsibility
• Benefit delivery: secure favourable terms and ensure financial benefits are tracked
• Build strategic relationships with ViiV stakeholders and influence strategy development
• External supplier relationships: manage contracts and evaluate new vendors
• Supply chain & risk management: contribute to transformation and manage risks with mitigation plans
