Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Procurement Manager for ViiV to drive procurement strategy and manage global supplier relationships in the US market. You will partner with ViiV stakeholders to deliver cost savings, supplier value, and risk management across multiple spend categories.

You will build strong relationships with the head of procurement and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with ViiV business goals and delivering measurable financial value in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement experience including the ability to support multiple spend categories ideally within a commercial business environment.
• Business stakeholder management and influencing, this includes the ability to build strong relationships and to influence without express authority.
• Experience managing suppliers (including performance management)
• Able to drive and deliver business impacting cost savings
• Ability to articulate the value that procurement can bring to an organization
• Ability and track record to manage contract negotiations
• Commercial and financial acumen
• Experience leading supplier tender/RFP processes

Responsibilities

• Strategy execution: work with ViiV commercial business to enable procurement strategies and align with global category teams.
• Execute global sourcing strategies for multiple spend categories with a global mindset.
• Be the local expert in spend categories and ViiV BU within scope.
• Benefit delivery: negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and ensure value is delivered as per budgeting.
• Business partnering & stakeholder management: build strategic relationships with ViiV stakeholders and influence strategy together with them.
• External supplier relationships: manage contracts and monitor supplier performance, onboarding and risk management across vendors.
• Supply chain & risk management: contribute to supply chain transformation, identify risks and mitigation plans.
