Job summary

This hands-on role blends strategy and execution, building relationships with priority journalists to turn our customer evidence and innovation into earned coverage.

You will shape IRIS’s US narrative, partner with product and sales, manage agency partners, and ensure messaging is consistent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in PR, media relations or corporate communications.
• Strong US media landscape knowledge with journalist relationships.
• Proven ability to secure high-quality earned coverage.
• Translate AI/tech topics into clear, credible stories.
• Experience in crisis communications and issue management.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Familiarity with accounting, payroll or HR sectors.
• Experience managing PR agencies or partners.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder skills.
• Comfort with PR measurement and reporting tools.
• Experience in PE-backed, high-growth B2B environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead US PR programme and build relationships with media in accounting, payroll, and HR.
• Align activity with AI visibility strategy and strengthen IRIS' presence.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Payroll and HR leaders to uncover newsworthy stories.
• Develop executive visibility through bylines, speaking, awards and interviews.
• Support crisis communications with monitoring and rapid-response planning.
• Keep US messaging aligned to IRIS brand narrative and tone.
• Manage US PR agency partners and ensure quality outputs.
• Engage with analysts and influencers across accounting, payroll and HR.
• Measure PR impact and share of voice, guiding investments.
• Report on coverage quality and spokesperson visibility.
