Job summary

UBS is seeking a Research - Americas Equity analyst to conduct financial analysis and develop models for Payments, Processors, & FinTech sectors. You’ll author research reports, communicate theses to clients, and attend investor events.

The role sits in the Global Research team, closely collaborating with a Lead Analyst in New York and team members to deliver rigorous equity research and insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting; MBA preferred but not essential.
• Experience evaluating companies is a plus.
• Strong client engagement focus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good accounting sense and ability to interpret annual reports.

You’ll be working in the Global Research team in New York, NY. Your role will work in partnership with a Lead Analyst and team to perform equity research and analysis of publicly traded companies

Your Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Finance, Economics or Accounting, MBA preferred but not essential
• Experience in the evaluation of companies an advantage
• Top-notch customer service focus and attitude for client engagement
• The ability to perform under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
• A good handle on accounting, including reviewing and interpreting annual reports and financial statements also an advantage although training will be provided on the job
• Solid know-how of Microsoft Excel, and understanding other programming languages an advantage
• An excellent communicator, able to educate through the creation of innovative models, reports and presentations
• Inquisitive, organized and detail-oriented
• A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentYou’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards and ethical use.

The Ideal candidate would have either investment banking and/or buyside experience.

Salary information

The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:

• United States - New York - New York min USD 137500 - max USD 160000
• United States - California - San Francisco min USD 137500 - max USD 160000 /annum
