Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Sr Director, Global Monitoring & Site Engagement (GMASE), US Oncology Head to accelerate trial delivery and expand US patient reach across Oncology development. The role requires strategic leadership and data-driven execution with investigators, sites and patient communities.

Lead real-time data capture, adaptive monitoring and evidence-generation approaches; oversee US Oncology Clinical Operations and coordinate cross-functional teams for portfolio success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; 10+ years pharma R&D experience.
• 8+ years leadership in clinical operations within oncology.
• Deep therapeutic area expertise in oncology strategy, data, and operations.
• Experience owning end-to-end execution at portfolio or TA level with delivery tradeoffs and risk.
• Strong ability to manage cross-functional delivery and governance.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate trial delivery and increase US patient enrollment across oncology development phases.
• Champion real-time data capture and evidence-generation throughout trial lifecycle.
• Develop non-traditional site and community-based strategies to reach patients.
• Represent US Oncology in conferences and with external stakeholders; build trust.
• Provide senior leadership and people management for US Oncology Clinical Operations teams.
• Partner with Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, and Development Ops functions to drive cross-functional delivery.
• Translate R&D and GMASE strategy into executable country-level plans aligned to portfolio needs.
• Provide clinical monitoring oversight for studies run by partners and CROs.
• Maintain deep understanding of US oncology healthcare environment and regulatory landscape.
• Own operational and financial accountability for US Oncology budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement and share insights across regions.
