Job Title: Material Handling Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256
Schedule: Shift 3 – Monday to Friday, 9:15 PM to 6:00 AM
Pay Rate: $21.09 per hour (W2)Key Responsibilities- Pick items using RF scanners or voice-picking technology with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Pack and prepare customer orders, ensuring shipping temperature, lot numbers, addresses, and methods are correct.
- Work across different temperature zones including ambient, refrigerated, and frozen areas.
- Receive incoming materials, inspect and verify contents against purchase orders, bills of lading, or packing lists.
- Document and label incoming materials properly and store them in correct temperature-controlled environments.
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as preparing shipping and receiving documents, coordinating shipments, and maintaining records in internal systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory of products and raw materials using appropriate tools and databases.
- Identify and report logistics issues or discrepancies related to shipping, receiving, or inventory.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and man-up order pickers when required (training and certification provided).
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485 quality system standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving quality objectives.
Minimum Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of work experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- English proficiency to ensure comprehension and execution of safety procedures and documentation
Preferred Qualifications- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work proactively and effectively in a team environment
- Organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
Work Environment- Warehouse and logistics setting, with exposure to varied temperatures (ambient, refrigerated, frozen)
