As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a direct role in keeping our customers connected by maintaining and repairing wires from our hub sites to the customer's connection points outdoors. You'll monitor and report signal leakages and perform repairs as needed, ensuring our network operates smoothly 24/7.

Supported by fellow technicians and teams like Construction, you'll ensure our network's optimal performance regardless of weather conditions, providing excellent service to our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 1 year in cable work
• Technical Skills: Ability to operate testing equipment, basic math and electronics knowledge
• Abilities:
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Effective communicator in person, on the phone, and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Proficient with computers and testing equipment related to the role
• Skills: Well-organized, independent, strong prioritization skills
• Schedule: On-call in all weather conditions, hours vary based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) networks, RF, AC, DC, and customer premise networks
• Experience in telecommunications installation and service
• Experience with coaxial and fiber network installation and maintenance
