Acrisure is seeking a US Indirect Tax Manager to join our Chicago team. You will drive domestic indirect tax compliance, develop tax strategy, and execute process improvements in the indirect tax function, reporting to the VP – Tax.

You will lead multi-state tax studies, manage filings, advise on product/operational impacts, and collaborate with business partners while mentoring tax staff. This is an on-site role offering strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of progressive U.S. tax compliance experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax, property tax, and gross receipts tax
• Experience with Avalara software preferred
• People leadership experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• MBA, MST or JD preferred

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute US indirect tax strategies to minimize sales and use tax exposure while maximizing refund opportunities
• Lead multistate sales and use tax refund studies and manage refund filings
• Manage all indirect state tax compliance, including preparing supporting tax calculations and data gathering
• Advise leadership on indirect tax impacts of new products, services acquisitions and initiatives
• Lead indirect tax workstreams for ERP implementations and system upgrades
• Drive automation initiatives to improve tax compliance and data quality
• Maintain tax calendar and timely indirect tax filings
• Mentor tax team members and provide guidance for development
