Job summary

CDW in Chicago is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to lead our indirect tax function, drive compliance, strategy and analysis across US entities, and manage a professional team to communicate complex tax insights effectively.

This role partners closely with senior leadership within the Tax team and across CDW, overseeing sales/use tax, VAT, gross receipts, property tax and other duties, while guiding continuous improvements and AI initiatives to support scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 5+ years indirect tax experience with 1+ year leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of tax professionals in indirect tax compliance, audit, and accounting processes for US entities.

• Oversee timely, accurate filings for sales/use tax, VAT, gross receipts, property tax, and other indirect taxes.

• Lead audit defense and support positions during audits and litigation as needed.
•  
• Propose strategies to reduce indirect tax burden and improve accounting impact.
•  
• Collaborate on technology transformation initiatives to meet indirect tax needs.
•  
• Develop staff through coaching and succession planning to build a scalable team.
