Job summary

Novo Nordisk seeks a seasoned Corporate Health & Safety leader to anchor the US network, aligning site needs with global priorities and ensuring consistent implementation across GMS, R&D, and USO. You will communicate risk and regulatory requirements effectively to senior leaders and drive scalable, governance-backed initiatives.

This role requires strong cross-site collaboration, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex safety topics into actionable guidance while managing budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Business, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Science, Risk Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum eight years of relevant Health & Safety experience in regulated environments, required.
• Knowledge of US OSHA and state regulations and standards.
• Ability to position health & safety risks in a broader business context.
• Strong communication across EHS and senior leaders, with influence without direct authority, required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as US-based Corporate Health & Safety anchor across GMS, R&D and USO.
• Translate health & safety risks into business priorities and recommendations for senior leaders.
• Lead the Corporate US Health & Safety network with governance and regular meetings.
• Translate corporate standards into practical US guidance aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Provide senior H&S consultation across corporate and site stakeholders.
• Prepare decision-ready recommendations outlining risk, compliance, and actions.
• Lead cross-site initiatives and support corporate processes and governance.
• Influence implementation and accountability while sites retain local compliance.
• Manage resources and budget within mandate, including travel and external spend.
• Identify cross-site risks and regulatory changes through audits and site visits.
• Follow safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
