Job summary

Palantir Technologies is seeking a flexible, experienced US Government lawyer to partner with our federal government team. You will negotiate complex licenses and services agreements, address regulatory requests, and advise product, IP, and privacy teams on risk and compliance.

The role requires a J.D. and 3+ years of relevant experience, strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to work across busy, multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and 3+ years of firm, in-house, or government experience (a combination is even better).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and commitment to teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to propose creative solutions to novel issues.
• Strong organizational skills with multitask and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand Palantir’s relationship with its US government customers and provide advice and counsel in support of Palantir’s business goals.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and license agreements.
• Advise on product development issues, compliance, intellectual property rights, data privacy, conflicts of interest, and more.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and resolve government inquiries.
• Monitor and analyze federal legislative, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to Palantir’s government business including AI policy, data governance frameworks, and national security technology regulation.
• Engage with policy processes where Palantir has an interest, including supporting responses to agency rulemaking, coordinating with government affairs colleagues on Capitol Hill engagement, and contributing to external policy positions.
