Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Scheduling, Project Controls, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years leading project controls, scheduling, or construction management on large capital projects.
  • 8+ years supporting semiconductor manufacturing facilities or related high-tech industrial projects.
  • 10+ years building and leading high-performing construction teams.
  • Expertise in project controls, scheduling, risk management, change management, and partner engagement in complex construction environments.

As the US Construction Sr. Controls Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for the U.S. Construction Project Controls organization, overseeing scheduling, project controls, reporting, risk management, and organizational change across large-scale expansion programs. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will drive project execution excellence, develop high-performing teams, and help establish best-in-class controls processes that support successful project delivery from design through startup and handover.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the U.S. Project Controls team, providing technical mentorship, coaching, and strategic direction across major capital construction programs
  • Establish and maintain project controls standards, critical metrics, risk management processes, reporting frameworks, and change management practices
  • Drive multi-functional collaboration with engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, operations, contractors, and end users to achieve key project achievements
  • Lead all aspects of project controls execution, including schedule development, performance monitoring, resource planning, and consultant management
  • Advance continuous improvement and AI-enabled solutions that improve reporting, forecasting, and project controls efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Scheduling, Project Controls, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years leading project controls, scheduling, or construction management functions on large capital projects
  • 8+ years supporting semiconductor manufacturing facilities or related high-tech industrial projects
  • 10+ years building, leading, and developing high-performing construction teams
  • Expertise in project controls, scheduling, risk management, change management, and partner engagement within complex construction environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical subject area
  • PMP certification
  • Experience leading project controls for large-scale semiconductor greenfield or brownfield facility projects
  • Experience developing project performance metrics, governance models, and enterprise-level reporting systems
  • Proven experience using AI-enabled tools to improve project controls workflows, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making processes

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$148,000.00 - $258,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
