Job summary

Relief International is seeking a senior fundraising leader to manage the US entity, reporting to the Board of Relief International USA. The role focuses on growing the US donor base and overseeing US grants, with a strong emphasis on major gifts, foundations, and corporate partnerships.

You will lead a diversified US income pipeline, engage with policymakers, and collaborate with global teams to align strategy and fundraising results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12–15 years in a senior leadership role within an international non-profit or humanitarian org.
• Strong track record securing income across US major gifts, foundations, and corporate partnerships.
• Experience diversifying revenue and growing unrestricted income.
• Knowledge of US nonprofit governance, 501(c)(3) obligations, and government grant oversight.
• Excellent communications and representation skills for high-level engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day and strategic management of the US entity with compliance oversight.
• Lead all fundraising in the US across donors and grow the team, systems and data.
• Maintain and grow a personal portfolio of major donor and foundation relationships; close significant gifts.
• Oversee US grants, donor compliance, and network services performance.
• Lead RI US advocacy, policy engagement with US government stakeholders and policymakers.
