Job summary

Islamic Relief USA is seeking a Foundations and Grants Specialist/Grant Writer to lead efforts to secure funding from foundations, corporate partners, and government sources. You will identify opportunities, build proposal timelines, and coordinate inputs from Fund Development staff and the Executive Management Team.

You will also maintain IRUSA’s Salesforce database weekly and collaborate with Programs to submit reports.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of grant/proposal writing for corporate, foundation, and government funders.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; CFRE preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support activities.
• Strong written and oral communication with diplomacy and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize funding opportunities aligned with strategy and growth.
• Write and submit inquiries, concept notes, and proposals to funders, coordinating with staff.
• Develop grant budgets and budget narratives with finance and programs teams; frame outcomes and evaluation plans.
