Job summary

Ambassador Resources is seeking a Payroll Support professional to assist in processing and validating payroll for US and Canada populations. You will collaborate with HR and Accounting to gather inputs, answer employee questions, and ensure timely, accurate payroll for multiple locations.

The role involves coordinating with a third-party provider, reviewing reports, maintaining records, and helping with audits and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll activities in US and Canada populations, including country-specific inputs and employee questions.
• Assist payroll team, employees, and managers with payroll questions related to pay, deductions, taxes, direct deposits, garnishments, and timekeeping.
• Help prepare, compile, review, and organize payroll data for submission to the third-party provider according to calendars and deadlines.
• Assist researching payroll issues, data discrepancies, off-cycle payments, tax questions, and processing exceptions.
• Review pre- and post-payroll reports from the vendor to validate accuracy, completeness, reasonableness, and policy compliance.
• Maintain payroll files, including registers, support documentation, vendor reports, tax information, audit materials, and records.
• Support time and attendance administration, including timesheets, missed punches, schedule exceptions, approvals, and questions from employees or managers.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and field locations to ensure payroll inputs are gathered and ready for timely processing.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, including deductions, earnings, taxes, garnishments, GL postings, funding requests, and year-end wage activity.
• Assist with garnishment processing, including gathering documentation, coordinating with the provider, and maintaining related records.
• Support payroll-related controls by following up on exceptions, approvals, missing information, and open items for accurate processing.
• Help employees and managers navigate payroll and timekeeping systems, including basic troubleshooting and process guidance.
• Assist with audits, compliance requests, reporting needs, process documentation, and internal payroll procedures.
• Support ad-hoc payroll, reporting, analysis, and process improvement work to support Finance, HR, and business operations.
