Job summary

Donaldson Company, Inc. is seeking a seasoned engineer to analyze EPC and refinery specifications, size equipment, and prepare detailed quotations for Facet equipment. You will interpret ASME, ISO, API, SAE, EI standards and collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate cost details.

You will support regional sales teams with technical expertise, determine optimal equipment sizing, and help grow margins while delivering timely schedules and responsive communication to customers and distributors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in pressure vessels, piping, and pressure equipment design/manufacture.
• Experience in marine and/or power generation industries preferred.
• Familiarity with filtration and separation processes.

• Maintain timely, professional responses to stakeholders and work to improve margins with cost-effective solutions.

Role Responsibilities:

• Analyze EPC or refinery specifications to size and design equipment, determine material requirements, and assess the cost implications and develop and present detailed quotations that highlight the value and competitive edge of Facet equipment.
• Interpret and apply industry standards (ASME, ISO, API, SAE, EI, etc.), customer specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and maintain a systematic approach to quote and project files.
• Collaborate with manufacturing vendors to ensure precise cost details, utilize and maintain Salesforce for managing quotes, opportunities, and sales data in collaboration with the sales team.
• Support Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, and Customer Service teams with technical expertise stay updated on all products within Facet's portfolio and modify existing designs for new applications.
• Determine optimal equipment sizing based on customer applications and specifications.
• Promote and suggest methods for increasing sales of Facet products to customers and distributors provide technical support to distributors, engineering firms, and end-users.
• Interface with production planning and drafting teams to deliver accurate lead times and project schedules.
• Ensure timely and professional responses to both internal and external stakeholders, maintain and improve margins for capital equipment sales by implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions explore new opportunities and contribute to Facet's growth by promoting technical solutions to enhance customer value.

Travel: up to 50%

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field OR equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of applied industry experience, with expertise in pressure vessels, piping, and the design/manufacture of pressure equipment.
• Experience in the marine and/or power generation industry
• Familiarity with filtration and separation processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes involving metals, piping, fittings, and materials.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on multi-tasking and prioritization.
