Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment.
• Controlled Substance License in state of employment
• Drug Enforcement Agency Number (DEA) registration

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prevent, or treat disease, defects or injuries and recommend or prescribe treatments.
• Provide medical treatment consistent with professional standards of care regardless of payer or demographics.
• Complete accurate, legible records using CPT and ICD codes.
• Provide after-hours call coverage with colleagues as per group policy.
• Comply with standards of medical practice and applicable regulatory bodies.
• Maintain continuing medical education to meet licensure requirements.
• Participate in non-revenue activities supporting Prisma Health’s mission and vision.
• Assist in responding to proposals for managed care contracts.
• Establish quality assurance and utilization management programs and patient education services.
