Job summary

Prisma Health seeks a physician to provide high-quality medical services at the Hillcrest/Simpsonville Medical Campus as part of the Prisma Health-University Medical Group.

The role requires a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, residency completion, and board certification or eligibility, with medical staff privileges. You will engage in teaching and research activities characteristic of Prisma Health’s academic health center.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible; Medical Staff Privileges required.
• Successful Completion of Residency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prevent, or treat disease and recommend treatments.
• Provide medical care consistent with professional standards; patient access not a barrier.
• Complete accurate medical records and code with CPT/ICD.
• Provide after-hours call coverage with the practice.
• Comply with applicable standards and licensing/ accreditation rules.
• Pursue continuing medical education to maintain certification and licensure.
• Participate in non-revenue activities to advance Prisma Health's mission.
• Assist in quality programs, utilization management, patient education, and satisfaction.
• Help obtain licenses, permits, and accreditations as needed.
