Job summary

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure quality care and assist in discharge planning. Requires a CAHEP-approved PA program, FL licensure, DEA eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Physician Assistant program approved by CAAHEP.
• Current Florida PA licensure.
• DEA eligibility.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with physician and communicate findings after rounds.
• Assist in post-op care and ensure appropriate medications are ordered.
• Support workflow to minimize patient wait times and coordinate with staff.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as authorized.
• Sign off on medical results and communicate abnormalities to the physician.
• Provide surgical assistance in the operating room as needed.
