Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Urology seeks a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy general urology practice, delivering outpatient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This Monday–Friday role features clinic hours from 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., with the potential for four 10-hour days after onboarding. You will work at South Clinical Campus (Albany) and Niskayuna, see about 18–20 patients daily, and perform in-office procedures, patient education, and coordinated

Qualifications

• License and active NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience a plus.
• Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure patient-centered care.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with general urologic conditions.
• See scheduled patients and same-day urgent add-ons (hematuria, UTI, PSA, kidney stones).
• Perform in-office procedures, including testosterone and Eligard injections.
• Conduct patient education, follow-up visits, and medication management.
• Collaborate with attending urologists, nursing staff and admin support.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the EHR.
• Participate in quality improvement and efficiency initiatives.
