Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Urology is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy general urology practice, providing comprehensive outpatient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with clinic hours from 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., and after onboarding, four 10-hour days may be available. Primary sites include the South Clinical Campus (Albany) and Niskayuna.

Qualifications

• New York PA license/registration required.
• Completion of an accredited PA program.
• Familiarity with EMR systems; Epic experience a plus.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of general urologic conditions.
• See both scheduled patients and same-day urgent add-ons for concerns such as hematuria, urinary tract infections, elevated PSA, and kidney stones.
• Perform in-office procedures, including testosterone and Eligard injections.
• Conduct patient education, follow-up visits, and medication management.
• Collaborate closely with attending urologists, nursing staff, and administrative support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement and practice efficiency initiatives.
