Job Opportunity: Physician - Urology at VHS

VHS is seeking a qualified Physician in Urology to join our team in Columbia, SC. This position offers a 13-week assignment starting from May 5, 2025, to August 4, 2025, with a 10-hour day shift schedule.

Responsibilities and Schedule

1. Provide general inpatient urology coverage, including ER call, with no neonatal or pediatric cases required.
2. Support staff includes 4 NPs and 1 AP, involved in supervising and teaching residents and fellows.
3. Manage approximately 10 patients per day, with 7 surgeries weekly at a Level 1 trauma center.
4. Participate in scheduled call duties, with flexibility required as schedules may vary monthly.
5. Utilize EPIC EMR system; experience preferred.
6. Perform advanced endoscopic urological procedures, laparoscopic surgeries, and robotic surgeries, with robotic experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Urology
• Active SC license or willingness to obtain one
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Certifications: ABMS/AOA, BLS; DEA and CSR preferred
• Privileging time frame: 30-60 days with active SC license or 120 days without
