Join Our Team as a Urologist in Scenic Brattleboro, VT!

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH) is a community-focused, not-for-profit hospital nestled in beautiful southern Vermont. We are currently seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible General Urologist to join our dedicated and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality care in a state-of-the-art facility while enjoying a well-balanced work schedule and the exceptional quality of life that Vermont has to offer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive urological care to adult and pediatric patients.
• Deliver care in outpatient clinic settings and inpatient hospital settings.
• Work collaboratively with an established urologist and a nurse practitioner.
• Perform surgical procedures in state-of-the-art operating rooms.
• Conduct hospital consultations and manage urological emergencies.
• Participate in a light on-call rotation covering one hospital site for 7 days per month.
• Utilize Cerner Community Works for electronic medical records and documentation.
• Maintain a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Manage an average of patients per day.
• Provide patient-centered care in a rural, community-focused environment.
• Engage in departmental succession planning and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for effective diagnosis and treatment.
• Open to new graduates and candidates with lapsed board certification willing to recertify.
• Not open to long-distance commuters or alternative shift arrangements.

Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in Urology (required).
• Clean malpractice history (required).
• Active Vermont License (must be obtained prior to start) (required).
• Completion of an accredited urology residency program in the U.S. or Canada (required).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Certification by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
• DEA certification.
• BLS certification.
