Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Urology physicians with patient care, clerical duties, and efficient patient flow in Paramus, NJ. The role covers room preparation, vital signs, and EHR documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or MA/phlebotomy training, BLS, and 0–1 year experience (2–4 preferred). Strong English communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required. 2-4 years related work experience, preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Schedules appointments according to guidelines.
• Stocks examination rooms with supplies.
• Enters orders and schedules in PMS and EHR; documents allergies and vitals.
• Provides referrals and consult orders in PMS/EHR.
• Provides scribing services and communicates effectively with team.
• Ensures safety and proper disposal of medical waste.
