Job summary

Graduate of MA program with 6 months physician office experience preferred; urology experience desired. Identify and document patient histories, vital signs, and education. Minimal travel. This position is full-time and on-site.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant will perform administrative and clinical duties under supervision.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments with physicians, nursing, and staff.
• Greet patients and prepare them for visits; measure vital signs and document history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
• Assist physicians with exams and basic lab tasks including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Assist with in-office X-ray and therapy procedures; prepare medications with physician authorization.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, and remove sutures; perform first aid as needed.
• Ensure accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
• Maintain patient logs for lab requests, CT scans, and treatment orders.
• Assist in orientation and training of new personnel; ensure smooth handoffs.
