Job summary

Solaris Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urology services. You will perform both administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery.

Requirements include a high school diploma, MA program completion, and BLS certification. Prior experience in a physician’s office, especially in urology, is preferred. Light travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification required.
• 6 months experience in a physician’s office; urology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and scheduling patient appointments with physicians and staff.
• Greet patients and prepare them for examinations; record interviews and histories.
• Perform vital signs measurement and basic laboratory tasks including phlebotomy.
• Assist with exams and in-office procedures; operate basic lab tests.
• Prepare for seeing patients the next day including confirmations and room setup.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA.
