Job summary

Community Care Physicians is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for its Urology Latham office. The role supports the provider with examinations, procedures, specimen collection, and patient preparation. The position offers a standard weekday schedule, with potential overtime as applicable.

Qualifications include a HS diploma (Medical Assistant certification preferred) and prior medical/clinical experience; phlebotomy experience is a plus. Experience with Allscripts is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Experience in clinical settings beneficial.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patients for visits based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed.
• Enter orders accurately into the lab system.
• Assist with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Perform specified clinical office procedures as directed (EKG, PFT, etc.).
