Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow, assist clinicians, and ensure efficient care within the clinic. You will help prepare patients, manage clinical tasks, and contribute to a positive patient experience while following privacy and safety guidelines.

Under supervision, you will maintain electronic health records, assist with examinations, prepare medications, and coordinate with the health care team to promote quality care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Competency-based Medical Assistant training program.
• MA certifications (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/RMA) and BLS certifications preferred.
• Experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Maintain and monitor electronic health records and documentation standards.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications within scope of practice.
• Ensure supplies/equipment are ready and available for procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and coordinate with the care team.
