Job summary

Auncurology seeks a Medical Assistant to support urology services in our Cary, NC practice. The role involves clinical tasks such as room setup, vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, basic lab work, and assisting physicians during exams, as well as routine clerical duties.

Requirements include graduation from a Medical Assistant program and 6 months of office experience; Urology exposure is preferred. Knowledge of EMR and patient confidentiality is essential to maintain efficient, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience (based on State regulation requirements).
• 6 months experience in a physician’s office; Urology experience desired.
• Certification or Registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule appointments with physicians and staff.
• Greet and prepare patients for examinations.
• Measure and record vital signs and patient history.
• Assist physicians with exams and minor procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab tests including EKGs.
• Prepare medications under physician supervision and manage supplies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
