Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Medical Assistant with urology experience to join the Urology-Clinic team. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, and update electronic medical records, providing excellent patient service and care.

This full-time, day-shift role offers on-site work (Mon-Thu, 7:00am–5:30pm) with opportunities for tuition assistance and certification support as Banner covers study materials and supports career progression.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, or NCMA) with proof of current membership.
• Ability to work with medical software and EMR systems.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, document complaints and prepare for exams.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures; perform phlebotomy and EKGs as needed.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-certifications and scheduling of tests and visits.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support billing documentation.
• Keep exam rooms and equipment clean, stocked and compliant with safety guidelines.
• Communicate test results and coordinate with clinicians and patients.
