Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience.
• Re-processing/procedural experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care including rooming patients and obtaining vitals.
• Assist with procedures and manage instrument re-processing.
• Document all information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Coordinate communication regarding lab results, prescriptions, and referrals.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet/check in patients.
• Assist with insurance verifications and authorizations as needed.
