Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support across multiple Urology offices in the Fairfield region. You will handle vitals, patient history, screenings, and assist with in-house procedures.

The role also includes scheduling, chart prep, referrals, and coordination of transportation when needed. A Medical Assistant diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic cert is required, with BLS credential within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic cert.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 3 months of hire date.
• All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, screenings, patient history, health maintenance and related tasks.
• Assists providers with in-house Urology procedures as needed.
• Scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, and prior authorizations.
• High level disinfection is a primary duty; training will be provided.
