Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Urology practice at 104 Endicott Street, Danvers, MA. You will welcome patients, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, document medical histories, and support scheduling and medical records with a patient-centered approach.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with MA certification preferred, strong communication, and comfort using EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred.
• Direct medical assistant experience or related medical field experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and patient-centered communication.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment with accuracy.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and privacy standards.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, obtain medical information, and measure vital signs.
• Prepare patients, examination rooms, and necessary equipment.
• Document medical histories, vital statistics, test results, and other information.
• Support patient scheduling, telephone communication, insurance forms, and office tasks.
• Serve as a liaison across departments and advocate for patients with a service mindset.
• Collect, log, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment rooms and follow sterilization procedures.
