The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic RN (Urology) to join the Day shift in the Medical Pavilion on a part-time basis.

As an RN, you will assess patients, provide direct ambulatory care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role emphasizes nursing judgment, professional standards, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Formación

• Requires RN license and BLS certification.
• Ambulatory clinic experience preferred, especially in urology.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience; 2+ years in ambulatory setting sought.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct patient care within ambulatory setting, based on the nursing process and scope of practice.
• Performs preliminary assessment through observation and chart review to facilitate appropriate follow-up with the healthcare team.
• Evaluates unstable or complex patient care situations and facilitates appropriate intervention.
• Applies independent nursing judgment and collaborates with peers/management as applicable.
• Documents patient teaching and assesses effectiveness of teaching with patient and family.
• Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related calls and completes required forms.
• Maintains competency in the unit's clinical and technical responsibilities.
