Job summary

Urology Centers of Alabama is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work in collaboration with physicians, evaluating and managing patients with urologic conditions in outpatient and hospital settings.

The APP will perform assessments, order tests, develop treatment plans, and coordinate patient care with the care team while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted Alabama NP license or PA license.
• Current DEA registration and Alabama Controlled Substances Certificate, if applicable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document histories and physicals.
• Evaluate, diagnose and manage acute and chronic urologic conditions within scope.
• Prescribe medications and coordinate treatment plans with supervising physician.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging and refer to specialists when needed.
• Coordinate care across clinic and hospital settings and document encounters.
