Job summary

UNC Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the NC Urology Raleigh team. The APP will work with four surgeons and another APP to deliver comprehensive urologic care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including operating room coverage and occasional robotic bedside assistance.

The role involves inpatient management, clinic duties, and coordination of patient care. The position requires graduate-level APRN or PA training, NC licensure, and strong clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the department; DEA.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: evaluates ER and inpatient consults, rounds on postoperative patients, and coordinates care.
• Education: educates patients and families and develops patient education materials.
• Leadership: provides instruction and participates in team training and rounds.
• Professional: communicates respectfully with patients and staff; maintains timely documentation.
• Quality/Research: participates in quality improvement projects and implements evidence-based care changes.
