Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a healthcare professional to provide outpatient-focused care in a busy practice, with opportunities for in-office procedures and occasional inpatient involvement. The role emphasizes high patient volumes and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The minimum qualifications include an NM NP license with MSN and DEA, and for PA candidates, CAHEA certification or equivalent experience along with NM licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Take history and perform physical assessments.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions.
  • Order and interpret X-ray and lab tests.
  • Teach and counsel individuals, families and groups.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures.
  • Periodic hospital rounding.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Order, conduct and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests

  • Involved in teaching and counseling individuals, families and groups

  • Performs minor surgical procedures.

  • Periodic hospital rounding

  • Performs other functions as required.


Additional Job Description

The minimum requirements are as follows:



  • For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC certification required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required

  • For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required.
