Job summary

VA St Louis Health Care System seeks a Staff Urologist to provide comprehensive care to Veterans, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of genitourinary conditions. The incumbent will participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and a full range of urologic procedures, collaborating with APPs, nurses, and residents.

Teaching and mentoring health professions trainees is expected, with a faculty appointment through Washington University.

Qualifications

• MD with board certification in urology.
• Active full/unrestricted medical license.
• Eligibility for faculty appointment with an academic affiliate.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient care: evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of urologic conditions.
• Inpatient care: manage admitted Veterans with urologic needs.
• Operative care: perform endoscopic, laparoscopic, robotic and open surgeries.
• Lead surgical teams and coordinate perioperative care.
• Teach and supervise residents and APPs; participate in education programs.
