Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a qualified Physician/Urologist to deliver clinical care and surgical services for urological conditions. The role emphasizes leadership in patient management and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Expect duties including resident supervision, academic involvement possible, and participation in a Total Rewards package with benefits like EDRP and incentives, schedule 0730-1600 Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State/US territory/DC.
• Residency training approved by the VA in an accredited core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• VA residency requirements include ACGME/AOA accreditation or equivalent post-training experience.
• Provisions for PRPs: fully licensed physicians may be appointed on an intermittent basis.

Responsibilities

• Clinical care: admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat reproductive and genitourinary conditions.
• Perform urological surgeries including robotic, laparoscopic, open and endoscopic procedures.
• Provide consultation services within and across departments to ensure quality patient care.
• Supervise and coordinate with residents and fellows under ACGME guidelines.
